Cash out

Yesterday was withdrawl day for both accounts and a time for some reflection and plan the next phase of trading for the coming months without any need to think about open positions.

The above includes the £200 or so remaining capital to start the account as I had already withdrawn on a few occasions, £450, £600 [...]

Sunday review

Only 2 positions open Newmont (buy £1pp) and sell Dax30 (£1pp) these appear to set off each other – but I think relatively they will protect me from a rally in the markets say following a 1% point rate cut – ie Newmont will rally higher and have limited downside if the markets fall.

Friday roundup

Yesterday saw the March rollover for Coffee (Arabica) on finspreads.com – the trade was set to ‘autorollover’ so the profit was banked on my open coffee trades of £1,299 and new trades opened in the May coffee (still 7pp). Up to 162,00 now so still holding for now. May see though – nice [...]

Decided to reign back in any impulses to trade the main stock indices and concentrate on building up a stake trading commodities – until its time to short the S&P500 again.
