Over the years I have tended to trade the commodities and currencies mainly as these are deeply liquid markets backed by large commercial and speculative interests which means trends frequently run for weeks at a time. The methods I use and continue to refine, take advantage of the natural tendency of the markets to produce these outsize moves on both the long and short side.
Volatility has been greater in the past year than in a decade in many markets. This is something that is likely to continue and will lead to many more profitable opportunities in the months ahead.
